The site of the Pic du Midi was conceived to receive our visitors at 2877m in full safety.
Please remember to bring warm clothing, sunglasses and sun cream, like that your drugs if treatment in progress.
The site is not recommended for people with a heart condition, pregnant women, or children under 3 years old.
Because of hygiene and safety, access to the site is prohibited to all animals.
Depending on particularly bad meteorologic conditions, cable car running may be interrupted at any time, for safety of visitors.

The Pic du Midi is certificated, since June 2007, ISO 9001 - ISO 14001 - OHSAS 18001 (Quality, Security and Environment International Standards) regarding :
Management of tourist site, development and sales of service provided, ticket sales, running and maintenance of cable car, management of public assembly buildings, animation of tourist area.
This certification recognizes Régie du Pic du Midi commitment and performance by following matters : customer satisfaction, respect and preservation of environment, (pollution, energy consumption, water use and filtration, refuse treatment and dangerous products storage), health and security at work.

The Pic du Midi is the only tourist site of altitude to reach, by its own means, the security level required for the establishments receiving of the public with in particular:
-Means interns of fire protection fight: 5 firemen 24 h/24,
-A capacity of reception of help: bed and restoration for 600 people on the site during 5 days the summer or 300 people during 10 days the winter. This instantaneous maximum flow visitors, fixed by the Departmental Commission of Safety, included each hiker who reaches the tourist installations,
-A complete pharmacy,
-An infirmary equipped with box hyperbare with decompression, a semi-automatic défibrillatrice,
-A direct connection with the SAMU 65 and the Departmental service d' Set fire to and Help, supplemented the presence of a nurse during the summer,
-The management and the maintenance of the infrastructures necessary to the life of the site, with in particular: routing and water treatment since Mongie, the purification plant, the management of waste, the management of the power supply of help….
