Starry Evenings at the Pic du Midi !
All through the year, celestial events are to be shared in a small group of visitors : sundown, traditional meal, observation of the nocturnal sky with astronomers.
Program
Cable car ride in the afternoon,
visit to the discovery museum ,
sundown observation from the terrasses,
astronomy animations with three permanent workshops with astronoms :
- a workshop of instruments and direct observations of the sun and night sky,
- a workshop to discover constellations and their legends,
- a diaporama of the present night sky and questions / answers dialog with astronoms

Return to La Mongie around 11.30 PM
Some little advice...
Bring -very- warm clothing : bonnet, gloves, good shoes, polar, wind-cutter... to enjoy to the full the pleasures on offer at an altitude of 2 877m. We advise you to consult the weather forecast.
You can be equipped with binoculars if you have some, and also of torches with red light only. The red light witch causes little luminous pollution, will be useful during displacements and will support your night observation.

2010 Starry Evening (without dinner, but fast restauration is possible) 50 € per adult and 34 € per child under 12. Only a limited number of tickets is on sale.
